Provide NHS and Private Orthodontic Treatments for children, adults, and orthognathic surgery cases to correct a wide range of malocclusions, including skeletal and dental Class II and III, open bite, crossbite, deep bite, bone-impacted teeth and crowding.

Employ a variety of orthodontic appliances, such as: Orthopedic and functional devices: Skeletal expanders, protraction face masks, twin-blocks, and aligners with wings.

Braces: Self-ligating sliding systems, conventional braces, ceramic braces, lingual – Mini-screws – Clear removable aligners: Invisalign, Spark, and Angel.

Joyti Vasudev

Roles and responsibilities:

Joyti qualified from the University of Manchester in 2007 having been awarded first prize at the British Endodontic National Harty’s Endodontic Prize. She continued her postgraduate education as a Specialist at Birmingham Dental and Good Hope Hospital and was awarded, by examination, The Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties at The Royal College of Surgeons of England After 3 years of specialty training, Joyti passed the Membership in Orthodontics of the Royal College of Surgeons (MOrth RCS) examination and in 2016, was awarded the FDS in Orthodontics which is internationally recognised as the highest College award in dentistry. In 2016, Joyti became Consultant Orthodontist at Medway and Maidstone NHS Hospital and since June 2017, took up the position of Consultant Orthodontist at East Surrey and Queen Mary’s /Barnet Hospital. Joyti has extensive experience in the diagnosis and management of routine and complex orthodontic cases and has a particular interest in treating patients with jaw discrepancies such as, clefts and craniofacial anomalies.

Joyti has presented at various national and international conferences and received the covetted BDA sponsored Chichester Cup Award in 2015 for her role in patient satisfaction with the mandibular advancement splints Joyti has presented to undergraduates and post graduates as well as written editorials for several scientific journals which been nationally acclaimed.

Joyti has worked at Queen Victoria Hospital which gave her the opportunity to treat patients suffering from sleep apnoea. She has treated patients diagnosed with mild and moderate sleep apnoea with sleep splints which patients find an acceptable alternative to sleep machines. She presented an audit on a national forum, looking at the acceptability of this splint as an alternative treatment modality and the department received a high degree of acceptability and success.

Hobbies:

Outside of work, Joyti enjoys acting and belongs to a local drama school in South Kensington. She has a passion for adrenaline fuelled activities such as skydiving and abseiling and has completed 2 half marathons and a 10K in an elephant suit!

Amede Okwesa

Roles and responsibilities:

Amede is a dental graduate from King’s College London, University of London (BDS).  She is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and sits on the specialist advisory board.  She currently works as a specialist in paediatric dentistry at King’s College Hospital.  Her interests include disease prevention and improving oral health, particularly those with special educational needs. Her 8 years’ of experience have developed a patient focussed approach to treatment planning and management of children with complex behavioural and medical needs.  Her academic clinical fellowship with the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) has encouraged Amede to devote herself to providing an excellent standard of evidence-based patient care and she enjoys treatment of traumatic dental injuries.

Hobbies:

In her spare time, Amede enjoys travelling and has plans to visit all the World Wonders! She enjoys keeping active and often participates in dance and fitness classes.

Dr. Nadiya Kapadi

About:

Dr. Nadiya, graduated from the Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2018, graduating with multiple distinctions and awards. Following this, Nadiya completed her foundation training in Essex, coming first in her cohort’s clinical case presentation. She then went on to complete training posts in community dental services and oral maxillofacial surgery. Giving her the skills and temperament to manage severely anxious and young patients. During this time Nadiya remained committed to her studies and completed a post-graduate certificate in education and her diploma with Royal College of Surgeons of England. Nadiya is also a published author in a peer review journal.

Throughout her career, Nadiya has garnered a keen interest in periodontics (gum treatment) and has completed a postgraduate certificate in this specialty enabling her to carry out more complex procedures and manage more advanced cases. She is now embarking on a 4-year postgraduate programme at Kings College London to further her skills in this area to specialist levels.

Hobbies:

Nadiya is a keen runner who also enjoys baking and crocheting in her downtime.
