Discover Medicine & Dentistry Programme
In 2017 Think it Possible launched a 7-month leadership programme ‘Queen Be’, which focused solely on empowering young women from underprivileged backgrounds to be inspired, motivated, and empowered to rise up the ranks and follow their dreams. Seventeen young women (16-25) were on the programme and covered a very wide demographic range of ethnicities and cultural backgrounds.
This was achieved through master classes and workshops delivered by leading women from professional industries.
The sessions covered topics such as:
• Time Management.
• Networking.
• Public speaking.
• Communication verbal and non-verbal.
• Entrepreneurship.
• Goal setting & Reflection.
Masterclass sessions were provided by leading women discussing their journeys to the top, and how they overcame prejudice and navigated the working world to be successful. Sharing their insights and stories provided the Queen Be cohort inspiration and motivated them to reach the top and to never let go of their dreams and ambitions.
At the end of the programme, 17 young women graduated with the Chief Dental Officer, Sara Hurley, and Professor Werner Menski, of SOAS University, leading the ceremony held in Mayer Brown LLP, Liverpool Street London.
